Description
These Shrimp and Cream Cheese Wontons are crispy on the outside, rich and creamy inside — a perfect appetizer for parties or snack nights.
Ingredients
- Cream cheese: 8 oz, softened
- Cooked shrimp: 1 cup, finely chopped
- Green onions: 2 tbsp, chopped
- Garlic powder: 1 tsp
- Soy sauce: 1 tsp
- Wonton wrappers: 24
- Water: for sealing edges
- Oil: for frying
Instructions
- Mix cream cheese, chopped shrimp, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce in a bowl.
- Place 1 tsp of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Wet edges and fold into a triangle.
- Seal the edges well and shape if desired. Avoid overfilling.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry wontons in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce of choice.
Notes
- You can bake or air-fry as a lighter alternative.
- Freeze assembled wontons for up to 2 months.
- Pair with sweet chili or soy garlic dipping sauce.
