- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the mixed berries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Stir until the berries are well coated.
- Divide the berry mixture evenly among 4 mason jars.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Spoon the batter over the berries in each jar, spreading it evenly.
- Place the jars on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbling.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- You can use frozen berries if fresh ones are not available; just increase the baking time slightly.
