Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast one packet
  • ¾ cup warm milk around 110°F
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For Frying

  • 4 cups vegetable oil for deep frying

For the Glaze

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and activated yeast mixture. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover and let the dough rise for an hour until it doubles in size.
  • Roll out the dough to ½-inch thickness and cut into donut shapes. Place on a floured surface and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan. Fry donuts for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel.
  • Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Dip warm donuts into the glaze and let excess drip off.
  • Place on a wire rack to set. Serve fresh and enjoy!
