Ingredients

  • 3 cups egg noodles cooked
  • 2 cans tuna drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup frozen peas optional
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
    Cook the Noodles
  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the egg noodles until al dente.
  • In a skillet, melt butter and sauté diced onions until translucent.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked noodles, tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, shredded cheese, peas, and sautéed onions.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
    Old Fashioned Tuna Casserole
  • Sprinkle crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs evenly on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
