Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Lemon Butter Sauce: Quick Gourmet Seafood
cooking
Crispy-skinned sea bass fillets perfectly pan-seared and drizzled with a tangy lemon butter sauce. A quick, gourmet seafood dish that's simple enough for weeknight dinners!
Pat sea bass fillets dry with paper towels. Season generously on both sides with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place fillets skin-side down and cook without moving for 4-5 minutes, until crispy and golden.
Flip fillets gently and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
Remove fillets from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, melt butter, then stir in lemon juice, cooking until slightly thickened.
Drizzle lemon butter sauce over cooked sea bass fillets. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes
Make sure the skillet is hot before adding fish to achieve crispy skin. Avoid moving fillets around too much while cooking.
